Your First Dental Visit

The American Association of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children be seen by their dentist by their first birthday or when they get their first few teeth. It is recommended that you schedule a friendly visit with the dentist to get your child acclimated to our office and staff before a cleaning or examination.

Your First Orthodontic Visit

The American Association of Orthodontists and The American Board of Orthodontics both recommend that children be seen by age 7 for their first orthodontic evaluation. Treatment in children or teenagers who are still growing may yield results that may not be possible once the face and jaws have completed their growth.

It's not just for children and teens, though. At New England Smile we address orthodontic issues for everyone including adults. It's never too late to consider braces or orthodontic aligners.

Orthodontic treatment is often part of a comprehensive dental health care plan. With good care, including orthodontic treatment when necessary, teeth can last a lifetime.
